Deep in the cloud forests of the Tropical Andes, one of the world’s most endangered primates is fighting for survival. Gerson Ferrer, our 2024 Neville Shulman Explorer, led an expedition to find the yellow-tailed woolly monkey, an incredibly rare species found nowhere else on Earth.

Part of the wider Stand Up for the Yellow-Tailed Woolly Monkey campaign, this mission aims to raise awareness, support new protected areas, and inspire action for its conservation.
